Growing Hyacinth Indoors

I bought two bags of hyacinth bulbs last fall and planted most of them in the garden before the first frost. Inside the bag there was a card with growing instructions - it says that hyacinths can also be grown indoors in a forcing glass, without needing any soil. So I decided to save a few bulbs for my indoor growth experiment.
Following the instructions, I first stored the bulbs in the fridge for about a month and then placed it inside a forcing glass in a dark area of the garage. When the green shoots were about 2'' tall, it was time to move the glass to a sunny windowsill.
Every morning the shoots grew a bit taller. In about a week, a cluster of buds burst from the middle of the shoots. And another week later, the hyacinth was in full bloom.
Now it's time to enjoy the fragrance!
