The daffodils and hyacinths in my front yard have been in full bloom. Since I planted them in clusters, their collective vibrant colors are quite eye catching. As usual, I took a few photos, made a collage, and posted it on the Facebook page of a local garden club.

On this early spring day, as I walked around, I spotted a lonely daffodil under a huge tree, on the bank of a hidden stream that runs along one side of the house. Shady most time of the day, the spot is not an ideal location for daffodils. I guess the lonely seed must have been carried over by the wind at an unknown time last year, or perhaps even earlier. At high noon, the lonely daffodil seemed to be in a comfortable solitary mood, enjoying a brief moment of direct sunlight coming through the tree branches, bringing vibrance to its own little world.
